There are also some other activities that are non-competition and they are diverse. They get to feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Most of the camps usually have rules against the use of technology like cell phones and also televisions. They therefore unplug from technology. The kids usually take a break from these gadgets which they are used to. During this break they get to discover their creative powers that they do possess. They also get to interact with the real world; this includes real people and real activities.

Everyone has a special talent and ability that is unique to them. In these institutions they usually are taught how to better their talents and abilities. They are given special instructions which they can follow to help them be better people in the future. They normally are given a platform where they might exercise their leadership skills in the institution.

When attending these events they normally get a chance for them do define who they are. They get a chance to be independent and to make their own decisions that they could not make by themselves. In their normal environment there are so many people who are around them that help or influence their decisions. Some of these people include their parents or their teachers.

Developing social skills is one of the main reasons that parents like to take their children to a camp. In these establishments they get to share a room with other girls. They therefore learn what they need to respect those around them and their property. They are also given chores that they have to complete as a group and this way they learn to be cooperative.

In their day to day lives the children might not be in a position to reconnect with nature. This might be because they live in an urban setting. In the camps they get great out door experiences.
