Cain Velasquez & the Benefits to Gain from Kettlebell Exercises

By Rob Sutter

When it comes to UFC, you better be confident that people are going to be highly competitive. I have seen competitions drag on for many rounds while others were done in a matter of seconds. Cain Velasquez is the modern-day ruling champion in the promotion and he doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. However, he may be able to increase his fighting style and I believe that would come from kettlebell exercises and how often he would be able to use them.

Cain Velasquez gained his UFC Championship back in December thanks to a victory over Junior dos Santos. Since that time, many fans are looking at Velasquez in the hopes that he will be able to work well in future fights. Of course, wins aren't going to come without training and it seems as though he has this aspect of his life locked. Having said that, however, would he honestly be able to better his fighting style if he modified his regimen to some degree?

One's fighting style could always use an improvement or two and such aspects could come about thanks to actions of various authorities, Lorna included. Think about how maneuverable people are when it comes to kettlebell exercises. These are the types which seem to exercise just about every part of the body, which cannot be said for your standard weights. If you want a regimen in order to help speed and strength alike, you are probably not going to find one better than this.

Just like any fighter you can think of, Velasquez uses an array of moves but I dare say that his routine is more dangerous and hard-hitting than any other. He commonly uses punches, throwing lefts and rights in order to ground his opponents. From there, he showcases just how strong of a grappler he is by keeping them count while he remains unrelenting in his strikes. This is where the mixture of speed and power comes into play and it's one that these exercises can potentially bring to a higher level.

Kettlebell exercises hold many perks to try them out, whether you want to become a fighter or not. People who merely want to get into shape or keep up a routine can put these to use because of how well they work with the body. It's almost as if they become natural, utilizing the body's own actions in tandem with regimens which entail them. In the case of Velasquez, or any combatant worth their salt, these regimens can end up being some of the most useful.
