Have Amazing Haunted Corn Maze Iowa Scares

By Patrice McCoy

As the days get longer and the nights get shorter people minds begin to turn to autumn. And with autumn comes Halloween. When people start to feel the chill of fall it is most certainly time to check out a haunted corn maze iowa style, or anywhere in the Midwest.

When someone is so invested in creating a wonderful maze they put their all into it. For 60 days they can create a world of their own and make a tidy profit as well. It is the pride in being the most unique and spookiest that propels them along. But no worries because they do modify the adventure to meet the needs of families.

These are just one of the wonderful fall things to enjoy. There are hayrides and haunted houses. In the heartland, however, corn mazes are becoming really popular. Many times, they are in an area that offers all three. So triple the fun.

Before starting the creation, the intelligent maze maker should learn all they can about the town's lore. If something scary took place in the 1800's then that could be woven into the puzzle. If there are enough things then it can become a haunted tour.

People work really hard on these and they have grown in popularity due to their hard work. They cannot only be haunted and confusing but they can also appear as a shape from the sky. It is art, horror, and fun all in one.

When one decides to visit one of these it is important to remember to dress right. Long pants and long sleeved shirts are best and perhaps a jacket. Proper walking shoes are a must. A water bottle and a snack just in case it takes longer than one thinks it will to get through.

If one is going after the sun has gone down, bring a flashlight to help lead the way. The moon will not be enough for one to see deep in the maze. Courage is necessary as well as these can get dark and make people feel vulnerable. A stopwatch is another item that people bring along because many people like to see how fast they can make it through the mazes year after year. There are contests to see who can do it the fastest.

As the family or group of friends wend their way through it is good to remember that often the people who created the mazes will have added smaller mazes within the bigger mazes to figure out. The added challenge of these mini mazes adds fun for one and all.

There are farmers who do this themselves. It takes a lot of planning, strong corn stalks and dedication to create something amazing. The planning should start early. If they feel that they cannot do one themselves there are corporations that will come to the field and create one for them. If one is in the Midwest, going to a haunted corn maze iowa or wherever there is corn will be an exciting adventure for all. Do not miss it!
